IMPORTANT: It is our belief that in order to excel at anything (including Acting), one must practice regularly. For this reason we take attendance in this class seriously and for the same reason we offer classes affordably in order for students who would like to attend to be able to do so comfortably. Students who would like to take advantage of our affordable rates must adhere to the following in order to remain members of the class:
RULE 1. ALL students must attend at least once every 3 weeks.
Students who would like to take some time off, can arrange to do so and remain a member of the group, but once they return they must adhere to Rule 1 above.
(Staying in the class has its advantages as you will not be subject to any rate increases that may have occurred while you were away. However you must provide a definite return date and return on or before that date, and your leave duration cannot exceed 6 months.)
Definitions: Regular Students are students who pay the Regular rate of £22 (Twenty-two pounds) per class.
Preferred Students are students who pay the Preferred rate of £7 (Seven) per class.**
Beginner Intermediate Students are students who have graduated the 1st Independent Activity Class (Attended and achieved their yellow belt – Those student and students in higher tiers are provided with the appropriate website fee structure link)
** This class favours Acting Students who come from a ‘Can’t-get-enough’ mindset. We believe that as Professionals you should be doing some sort of text or next-level class at least every 4-months in order to APPLY the work being learned in the Fundamentals classes. Being a preferred students has advantages other than the obvious lower fee. When special offers are announced, they are given to Preferred Students. Acting Classes for Adults Class Payment Policy
New students can try 2 classes at the rate of £12 per class. After that students can
Either:
- Elect to become a Preferred student by paying £125 Membership fee.
(This lasts for 4 months from payment date);
- Plus buy a Voucher Qualifying class listed below.
OR:
To continue at the Regular rate.
How it works:
Once the 4-month membership runs out, the rate will revert back to the Regular rate unless students pay £125 for another 4 month membership AND buy a voucher from one of the voucher qualifying classes which can be redeemed towards continuing at the Preferred rate of £7 per class attended.
Voucher Qualifying Classes*:
- These next level classes are offered periodically throughout the 4-month period. It is highly recommended that students take advantage of the classes they have paid for when a ‘next level/voucher’ class is announced, as these are dependent on demand and student numbers.
- Students who buy Voucher classes must understand that in keeping with the Professional status of the class, merely purchasing the voucher to qualify for the preferred rate, is not sufficient. You must actually attend every voucher class. Failure to do so would mean you no longer qualify to be a Preferred Student and once your 4-month membership has run out you would only be eligible to join as a Regular student.
- Strictly no refunds are given on voucher-qualifying classes that have already been redeemed towards a Preferred Student rate.
- In the event 2 and 3 applies to you: In order to be eligible to requalify as a preferred student, you must pay for another next level/Voucher class, and attend all first, and then apply to change your status to Preferred Student.
The following are voucher qualifying classes:
3-Consecutive Week Scene Study Class currently £125 (Qualifies for 1 Voucher)
10 – Consecutive Week Scene Study Class currently £325 (Qualifies for 1 Voucher).
10 (or 12) – Consecutive Week Next* Level Meisner Technique Class currently £325 (or £375) (Qualifies for 1 Voucher)
(*Next level is dependent on where you are in the class).
How to redeem your voucher:
Your voucher can be redeemed towards continuation at the Preferred rate in the event you have purchased a voucher in advance of your membership becoming due. Usually you buy your voucher at the time you renew your membership as a Preferred Student.
How to Make a Payment:
You can pay this account. Once you’ve done that, please send an e-mail to the instructor to advise that you have made payment. Payments must be made before class. Preferred students must remember to pay their £7 rate before each class they are planning on attending during the 4-months. Regular students must do likewise but at the Regular Rate. If we are holding physical classes, these payments must be made in cash.
